To start the process of softening, we pre-wash our blankets. Superior Turkish-grown cotton used in hand-loomed Turkish linens should be cold washed on a gentle cycle. Dry items on a line or in a gentle, cool machine. Cotton blankets will naturally appear slightly crinkled after drying, but if you'd rather, you can straighten them with a steamer. Avoid using harsh chemical detergents and softeners on cotton to preserve its softness and lifespan. With use, loose threads will develop; simply cut them off.
